Visited TEL this morning and brought a pack of Arons Speciality Kenya AA coffee beans which we had ground for use in our caffetiere. Would strongly recommend, the aroma is beautiful and the taste is outstanding. A bit of TEL magic made at home.
Notes: Citrus fruit, balanced by rich earthy chocolate
About producer: An excellent single origin. High citrus fruit acidity is balanced by a rich, earthy chocolate finish. Medium bodied with a light floral aroma.
The acidic soil in highlands of central Kenya, just the right amount of sunlight and rainfall provide excellent conditions for growing coffee plants. Coffee from Kenya is of the 'Colombia mild' type, and is well known for its intense flavor, full body, and pleasant aroma with notes of cocoa and high grade coffee from Kenya is one of the most sought-after coffees in the world.
While it may be widely known as a type of Kenya coffee, Kenya AA is actually a classification of coffee grown in Kenya. All Kenyan coffee is graded after it is milled. Grades are assigned based on the screen size of the bean. Beans with a screen size of 17 or 18 (17/64 or 18/64 of an inch) are assigned the grade AA, generally the largest bean. While the large bean size is considered by many to be a sign of quality, it is important to note that it is only one of many factors in determining high quality coffee.
Brewing Methods: This coffee is layered with flavours and can be enjoyed as an Espresso given the milk steams no more than 58'C. Full fat milk adds a smooth creamy texture to the coffee balancing the acids by not steaming it too hot. For those who love depth of flavour but a clean delivery, brew using a V60 or AeroPress. A beautiful all arounded coffee that requires precision to deliver the correct notes and aroma.
250g ground* - please request on each order whether you require for cafetière, V60, Espresso or AeroPress.
